Christophe Kervévan, the CO2-DISSOLVED project coordinator, was invited to make a presentation of the project at the next CO2GeoNet Open Forum (20-22 May 2014), to be held at San Servolo Island, Venice, Italy. CO2GeoNet is the European Network of Excellence on the Geological Storage of CO2. The CO2GeoNet Open Forum is a unique opportunity for stakeholders and major players in the CCS arena and wider energy – climate debate to meet and interact directly with Europe's largest group of researchers on CO2 geological storage. The presentation will aim at presenting the CO2-DISSOLVED concept, with a focus on the work carried out mainly by BRGM and BGR (both CO2GeoNet members) on the inventory of the low tonnage industrial CO2 emitters (ca. < 150 kt/yr) in France, Germany, and the U.S.A., which gives a first insight on potential industrial targets for which the CO2-DISSOLVED concept could be applied in the future. The whole program of the conference is not entirely finalized but, for now, the presentation is scheduled on day 2 (21 May) at 14:00.
