The Second Sustainable Earth Sciences (SES) Conference and Exhibition was held in Pau,France, from 30 September - 4 October 2013. SES 2013 is organised by the EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers) in cooperation with CO2GeoNet, European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC), Avenia, Global CCS Institute, International Geothermal Association (IGA) and House of Geoscience.
The technical programme offered oral and poster presentations within four different disciplines: CO2 Storage, Deep-earth Storage, Geothermal Energy and Cross-disciplinary Topics. Each day had an integrated session with keynote speeches and/or panel discussions, creating the opportunity to cross-link the disciplines.
The CO2-DISSOLVED presentation was given within the "Improving Sustainability" session. The abstract of this presentation (CO2-DISSOLVED: A Novel Approach to Combining CCS and Geothermal Heat Recovery) is currently available through the EAGE's Earthdoc website. The full paper is accessible to EAGE members only but, by the end of May, it will be available to the public.
